Many of you have been wondering what has been happening on Mt. Canatuan
since the residents were threatened with eviction.
Despite the promised 15 day deadline, the residents have heard nothing
more from the company since we sent out the last update. We believe
this has something to do with the public attention that is now being
focussed on the community.
We have heard one update from Joy Gonzaga - a Visayan farmer from the
area. She lives the closest to the mining site and has informed us that
the bulldozers are currently operating 10 meters from her house. She,
understandably, is at a loss for what to do next. To read the interview
